According to an  informal study,  there are over 1,00,000 communication trainers in India. These unorganized and organic group and trainers often work in silos. The main purpose of BCFAI’s learning events is to provide an opportunity for professional development and upskilling of this community..

BCFAI’s Key Learning Activities are:

Webinars and Workshops -

BCFAI invites well-known professionals to speak about the latest developments in the field. Some are in the form of Fireside Chats where an expert responds to questions. Some are organized as workshops. Speakers from other parts of the world are briefed in advance about the audience so that the responses can be geared to Indian realities. Topics of such events range from the influence and use of neurosciences in communication training to the needs of the youth belonging to the marginalized sections in India. Topics are chosen based on member interest and requests.

Blogs -

Our blog series are classic examples of member engagement and peer learning. BCFAI’s rich pool of members contribute insightful and meaningful blogs on theme-based series, that receive much traction in our social media handles. Each series - be it Proverblog, Elephant in the Room, We are Like That Only or Readers’ Review – can also be used as resource material for trainers.

Faculty Development Programs -

BCFAI is uniquely positioned since its member pool consists of coaches, professors, teachers and trainers from diverse backgrounds. Some are PhD holders who work at universities while some are practitioners in the corporate world. Some are seasoned professionals while some are just starting out. Each member comes with unique strengths and perspectives. Connecting this group allows a dialogue where academia gets familiar with industry requirements. Webinars and workshops are organized to further train Faculty members of Higher Education Institutions  to align curriculum curriculum and content to the 21st century workplace.
